Roof Framing
Prefabricated steel roof framing is available to suit all types of roof design – hip, gable, dutch gable, steel sheeting or tile – for spans up to around 16 metres.
For long spans using raked ceilings, lightweight high tensile steel purlin sections are an option.
Depending on the supplier’s recommendations, roof framing systems can be screwed or nailed directly to the wall frame.
Truss spacing can range from 600mm to 1200mm centres depending on the proprietary system selected.
The manufacturer’s or engineer’s instructions on type, number and placement of fixings should be followed exactly at all times.
